Players whose underlying numbers have turned upward before the points have followed. This is where a transfer is cheap, because the market has not moved yet.
Runs that are outperforming what the chances justify — useful to sell into, and the opposite signal to rising form.
The different ways a player can score: a defender on set pieces, a midfielder taking penalties, a forward who gets bonus for shots on target alone.
